During his distinguished career with the USAF, General Raduege held many high-profile positions including Director, Defense Information Systems Agency; Manager, National Communications System; Commander, Joint Task Force — Global Network Operations; Deputy Commander for Global Network Operations and Defense, U.S. Strategic Command; and CIO for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Space Command, Air Force Space Command, and U.S. Central Command. Following his retirement, he served as the Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Cyber Innovation and Managing Director for Cyber Risk Services. General Raduege will draw on his extensive knowledge and experience to lay the foundation for what promises to be a ground-breaking event.

Dr. Shohini Ghose is a theoretical physicist who examines how the laws of quantum physics can be harnessed to transform computation and communication. Professor of Physics and Computer Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dr. Ghose is the Vice-President of the Canadian Association of Physicists, Co-Editor of the Canadian Journal of Physics, founding Director of Laurier’s University Research Centre for Women in Science, an Affiliate of the Institute for Quantum Computing, and a Fellow of the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She is the recipient of several awards including a TED Senior Fellowship in 2018.

Professor Atefeh (Atty) Mashatan joined the School of Information Technology Management of Ryerson University in 2016 focusing on Information Systems Security, Cryptography, and Combinatorics. Prior to joining Ryerson, Dr. Mashatan was a Senior Information Security Consultant and Solutions Architect at CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) with a focus on cryptography and enterprise architecture, evaluating proposed and existing security systems. Prior to that Dr. Mashatan was a Scientific Collaborator at the Security and Cryptography Laboratory of School of Computer and Communication Sciences, EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne), where she conducted research into cryptographic protocols. She is a Certified Service Oriented Architect (SOA) with Honours and holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2).

DAVIDE VENTURELLI

Dr. Davide Venturelli joined the NASA Intelligent System Division (TI) in 2012 as one of the founding members of the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (QuAIL), where he currently works under the NASA Academic Mission Service contract. He is also Quantum Computing team lead and Science Operations Manager of the Research Institute of Advanced Computer Science (RIACS) at the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) one of the institutions providing workforce to NASA. Venturelli is currently invested in research projects dealing with quantum optimization applications and their near-term implementation in real hardware, a topic on which he published over 30 papers in international conferences and peer reviewed journals. His applied focus on algorithms is in advanced scheduling, telecommunication networks, robotics, AI planning, in collaborations with other governmental institutions, universities and the private sector. Davide graduated from Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon, obtaining his Ph.D. in Numerical Simulations of the Condensed Matter at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste and in Nanophysics at the Universite de Grenoble (CNRS/UJF).
